Most travelers are no strangers to Airbnb as its platform is an established source of vacation homes, especially unique stays worldwide. While Airbnb’s one-of-a-kind homes are typically secluded gems, once in a while, you’ll come across urban escapes such as those that celebrate iconic venues from pop culture. Well, just our luck as a stay in The Crown and Anchor pub from the hit Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso will be available to book on Airbnb. Avid viewers know that the show is set in the quaint village of Richmond, London, which boasts scenic views of the River Thames. So if you are obsessed about the series and have been wanting to explore Richmond, read on to know more about the stay.

On March 15, fans found themselves chanting ‘Richmond til we die’ again on their small screens as the third season of Ted Lasso kicked off. The spirit of sports fandom is once more alive in the four corners of The Crown and Anchor, the pub where AFC Richmond’s fans, players, and coaches hang out. In reality, this traditional English pub exists as The Prince’s Head in Richmond. As a treat to the most hooked viewers, and a celebration of the show’s return, Airbnb will open the pub to travelers for stays.

About the stay

The friendly neighborhood pub has three individual one-night stays on October 23, 24, and 25, 2023. Boasting a central location in Richmond, it is surrounded by several retail stores and is just around the corner from Coach Lasso’s apartment on Richmond Green. For the three dates, guests will have the show’s pub owner Mae, played by Annette Badland, as their virtual host. Once settled in, they can enjoy a selection of Ted Lasso-inspired fun such as:

  • Enjoying pub fare while discussing their favorite moments from the show.
  • Cheering on the beloved local Richmond sports teams, decked out in AFC Richmond gear, of course.
  • Taking part in a competitive round of darts – whether left- or right-handed – or aiming for the highest score on the pinball machine.
  • Taking a seat at Ted’s favorite table in the pub and challenging their fellow guests to a round of chess.
  • Showing off their karaoke skills with a rendition of their favorite song.
  • Trying those biscuits and enjoying them over some English tea (or as Ted calls it “garbage water”).

How to book (from 13 USD)

On March 21, at 1 pm EST, Ted Lasso fans can start booking overnights stays at The Crown and Anchor pub for 11 GBP (13 USD) per night. Make sure to have those fast-clicking fingers ready as bookings for the three available dates will be clutched at the speed of light. Perhaps make the booking task a group effort when scoring a slot as the pub can comfortably accommodate up to four guests.

While this opportunity for momentary refuge in Richmond sounds like a welcome game plan, potential guests must keep in mind that this is not a contest. They’re also responsible for all aspects of travel to and from Richmond, as they would with any booking on Airbnb.
