Until now the Toranomon area has always been seen as a business area with little to offer in tourism, but since the opening of the Toranomon Hills it has jumped to a premier tourist spot. The most interesting part of the Andaz Tokyo hotel has to be the roof top bar, where you can gaze upon the glory of the Tokyo night sky.

When you look out from the roof top bar, your heart skips a beat from the beauty below. Right under you is the Number 2 highway loop (AKA Shintora Dori or New Tiger Road), on the left is Ginza and Yurakucho, and in the distance is the Skytree. On the right you will see Rainbow bridge and Odaiba with its striking glow.

Try to go early as possible!

The roof top bar is designed in a modern fashion taste with the warmth of wood, to get to the top floor you have to go through the 51st floor Andaz Lounge. The bar entrance is impressive to say the least, and with its hideaway feel. The Rooftop bar’s terrace a smoking area as well but this is the section you want to be in to see the view because of its windowside seating.

Open from 5pm. Because of its popularity it does get crowded, so try to go as close to the opening time as possible. The view while the sun is setting and night view are both a must see.

Most likely because of the locality of Toranomon there seems to be a high concentration of businessmen having a relaxing drink after work. There are many patrons who are sitting alone with their drinks, and the atmosphere is relaxed. The drink menu is complete with fruity cocktails, wines, beers, champagne and even shochu and sakes. Also, you can enjoy cigars (as pictured above) here. Just ask the staff and they can find you one that fits your tastes out of the many in their selection.

The hospitality is definitely one rank above most bars lending to a beautiful experience.

Andaz Tokyo is where you can experience a roof top bars appeal in Japan. This kind of atmosphere is rare in most parts of the nation.

The terrace area which faces the windows uses sofas with modern designs in bamboo, has a chic counter area, and a standing area where you can take in all of the city scenery. Also there is a lounge area where there are low counters styled in Japanese fashion, with a hearth as a centerpiece with a high ceiling. Find the section that is to your liking!

Head to the noteworthy Toranomon area!

Create some special memories at the roof top bar and enjoy the night scenery.

The closest station to Toranomon Hills is its namesake, Toranomon on the Ginza line. It is only a 6 minute walk from there. You can also use the Hibiya line and get there from Kamiyacho station, also a 6 minute walk. From JRs Shimbashi station it is an 11 minute walk making access from other stations easy. It is close to the bay area and Tokyo tower so it can be enjoyed alongside them.
