Arguably the most beautiful diving site on Earth, Key Largo is a must-visit destination when you are on a vacation in Florida. Of the many exciting things to do and places to sightsee, the very first attraction that you need to visit as soon as you set foot in Key Largo is John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. A vacation in Key Largo would be incomplete if you don’t indulge in the watersports the region is famous for. Lucky for you, here are a few of the popular outlets where you can have the thrill of a lifetime:
Caribbean Watersports: With the help of Caribbean Watersports, which is situated inside Playa Largo Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection, you can go on a parasailing tour of the Keys or even indulge in eco-tours of the Everglades. Beach life in Key Largo, Florida
Key Largo is a destination known for its diving spots and picturesque coastlines. Cannon Beach is perhaps its most popular beachfront, and underwater artifacts from historic shipwrecks are placed near the beach for divers to check out. If I’m ever heading down here, I’ll certainly keep a look out for those artifacts. Far Beach is a smaller beach that’s about a 10-minute from Cannon Beach and is a great place to watch the sunrise.
It might be best to visit Key Largo between December and March because of the pleasant weather. It’s also lobster season, so you can go full out on delicious seafood. June to November is Key Largo’s peak season with sunny summers, however, make sure to plan against hurricanes and tropical storms that might form in the region during this period.
