Located on Highway 180, this campground sits in the Kings canyon along the South Fork of the Kings River. The ground is located near the beautiful Cedar Grove village, and there are soaring mountains all around, which will blow your mind. Activities such as horseback riding and hiking are possible here. You can also fish in the river.

Each of the campsites at this campground is provided with a campfire ring, food storage box, and picnic table. While tents are available at this campground, RV parking is also allowed here.

2. Buckeye Flat Campground

Buckeye Flat campground is about 7 mi (11 km) away from the Ash Mountain Entrance of Sequoia National Park. Because this campground is located along the Middle Fork of the Kaweah River, you will get to hear the pleasing sounds of the rushing river if you choose to camp here.

This campground has 28 wooded tents. You will be provided with a food storage locker at this campground. Pets are also allowed here; however, it is advised that you keep them on a leash as far as possible as black bears are active in the area. Reservations to this campground are available between mid-March to late-September.

3. Princess Campground

This campground is located in the Indian Basin Grove near the Indian Basin Meadow and Creek. It has three campground loops, namely Shining Cloud, Yellow Moon, and Morning Star. Set amid soaring Sequoia trees and other conifers, the campsites here enjoy their fair share of privacy.

It has as many as 90 campsites, many suitable for families with kids. If you feel like, you can also take guided hiking tours around the area, which happen generally on weekends. However, you can also stroll around and/or hike on your own if you like. Campfires and barbecues are also allowed here.

This campground is located near the entrance of Kings Canyon National Park. From the base camp of this ground, you can visit Cedar Grove, Hume Lake, and Grant Grove. There are 157 campsites here, suitable for group camping as well as families.

The camping season here is generally between late May and early September. A maximum of six people is allowed per site here, including children. Two RVs per site are allowed, so if you have a larger group or more than two vehicles, you’ll have to book more than one campsite. Pets are allowed here too.

With as many as 121 camping sites, this campground sits at the altitude of 4,600 ft (1,402 m) from the sea level. It is open to campers from late May through early September and has designated sites for RVs, trailers, as well as tents.

This camping ground is located just adjacent to the Sentinel Campground and there are a good number of activities for people to indulge in at this place.
