Capellen, Luxembourg: a place for the foodie's bucket list
Just 30 minutes away (by car) from Luxembourg City, Capellen is home to some great dining spots. Although it is not a big city, the restaurants in the area value the importance of quality, fresh ingredients, and authentic recipes. The food scene in the area is extremely diverse, with places that serve everything from local or European food, to Japanese, Chinese, or Italian dishes. Whenever you are in the area, Capellen should definitely be on your list of places to eat. One thing to have in mind though, is that restaurants in Luxembourg usually close in the afternoon and reopen in time for dinner. So make sure you eat lunch, preferably before 1:30 pm - 2:00 pm, otherwise you will have to wait until they reopen for dinner or go “restaurant-hunting” until you find an open place that serves food during the afternoon.
