They are many restaurants in Kuching that specialize in fusion food and are made with ingredients sourced locally but cooked through western techniques. However, many agree that no restaurant does fusion as well as Jambu. The restaurant is known for its pretty, low-lit ambiance and for being a fantastic gathering place. Relish in the French-style starters, like garlic-soused escargots and homemade chicken pâte, which go wonderfully well with grilled fish and steaks. The foot-tapping jazz soundtrack in the restaurant is an added bonus for visitors and will take you back to the twenties. It also features a lounge bar and a leafy and pretty garden terrace.
