For a truly unique eating experience, a visit to the Fish Market in Maputo is a must. Here you can buy fresh fish from one of the many stalls; huge prawns, can all be bought and later cooked for you over coal fires by the little cafes set up adjacent to the market. While many may hassle you for your custom, take your time and make sure they weigh your fish, minus the extra weight of water which is where they try and catch you out.
