8. Saki’s Spin-A-Yarn Restaurant

Today's Special :)

Posted by Saki's Spin A Yarn Restaurant on Thursday, 26 June 2014

Cuisine type: American

This steakhouse was featured on Season Five of Chef Gordon Ramsay’s reality show, Kitchen Nightmares. There have been notable improvements since the show aired and it has brought in lots of new business, which is great. The locals have been going here for years, though. The service gets lots of positive reviews and so does the food. A lot of people enjoy the Prime Rib as well as the seafood entrees.

The owner’s daughter used to attend summer camp with my boys and he would drop her off every morning with a smile. The warmth and friendliness is the same you will find when you enter the restaurant.

9. Sala Thai 2

Editor's Note: There's no photo available at the time of writing

Cuisine type: Thai

This restaurant is the second of the three Sala Thai restaurants in Fremont. This one is singled out since it is the only one of the three that serves halal food. It is a traditional Thai restaurant with a casual atmosphere that is perfect for family dinners, dates, and other gatherings. I have been here with my family a few times and we enjoyed our meal.

The pad kra pow (spicy basil stir fry), the pra ram, and the pad oyster are the most popular dishes here. There is also squid, tofu, and shrimp in sleeping bag.

10. De Afghanan Cuisine

Editor's Note: There's no photo available at the time of writing

Cuisine type: Afghan

Fremont prides itself on being home to the largest population of Afghan Americans in the United States. This Afghan restaurant makes them feel right at home and the locals as well as out of town visitors truly love it here. The ambience is great for a nice and flavorful dinner with friends and family. The kebabs, either beef or lamb, are tender and not at all spicy. Other favorites include the chicken and chaplee kebab combo and sabzi challow.

Afghani food is very good and this place does not disappoint. The kebabs come with tasty rice, and bread is also served. I personally love Afghani bread and have to stop myself from eating too much since it served before the meal and if I eat too much it gets hard to eat the yummy main entrée. Be sure to end your meal with some green tea.

Fremont is a place with lots of diverse cultures. It is hard to choose where to eat since there are so many choices. I tried to narrow the list down to five fine dining restaurants with diverse food options. Like I said, it is hard to choose where to eat since so much is offered and all restaurants are pretty good, although everyone has different tastes. It even happens in the same family. So, please check out the five restaurants I have highlighted here. I know that you will not be disappointed.
