Designed as an indoor-outdoor experience, this is one of the newest malls in a city that’s known for its shopping destinations. However, this mall offers more than just shopping; it lets locals and tourists enjoy a spot from which to admire the sunset and click some memorable photos. Not just that, even the immaculate bathrooms are worth a click at this place!

Everyone I know who has visited Bangkok post-Covid cannot stop gushing about this place and how it’s an absolute must-see. I’m definitely stopping by when I head back home next month. The best part is that it’s relatively easy to get to ICONSiam via the Skytrain and then a short shuttle ride on the Chao Phraya.

Emporium

This is one of the original luxury malls in Bangkok and has continued to remain a popular hangout spot for locals over the years. In addition to individual brand stores, a separate department store section is also a part of this popular mall. Moreover, it houses some excellent cafes, restaurants, and a food court where you can meet up with friends before some shopping. It was also one of the first malls to have direct access from the Skytrain, making it easy to enter and exit.

If you’re traveling with children, you can take them to Benchasiri Park next door for some outdoor playtime. There’s also an impressive indoor play zone at Emporium that will keep the kids entertained for a couple of hours. Throughout the year, the mall puts up beautiful installations, but nothing beats their glittering and colorful decor during Christmas time.
