This is one of the three bottle houses that was constructed in Rhyolite. Tom Kelly built it from old medicine bottles as well as from empty bottles in the 53 saloons in Rhyolite at that time, because building materials were scarce in Rhyolite. He started building his bottle house in September of 1905 and finished in February of 1906. He plastered the house interiors so that it could be painted or covered with wallpaper. However, Tom Kelly did not live in his house. He raffled it out and it was won by the Bennet Family. In 1925, it was used by Paramount Studios in a movie.
