Costa Teguise is a popular and attractive tourist resort on the eastern side of the island of Lanzarote in Spain’s Canary Islands. The coast has endless opportunities for fun and relaxation, with its beautiful beaches, fascinating sites and museums to visit, as well as golf and water sports. The island’s volcanic landscape makes for a different type of scenery, while the beaches take your breath away. Dine at the many restaurants, serving delicious traditional cuisine and international dishes, or enjoy a cold glass or two at one of the many bars along the coast.

The following are some of the must-see and do items on the Costa Teguise.

1. Fundación César Manrique

Fundación César Manrique is set in the home of César Manrique, artist extraordinaire, who lived in the house from 1968 to 1988. Totally designed by Manrique, the house is set in and on the lava from volcanic eruptions (dating back to around 1730) and some of the rooms occupy bubbles in that lava with tunnels leading between them. The architecture and furniture design is functional and attractive and visitors can explore most of the house, as well as the outdoor swimming pool and entertainment area, the garden and the artist’s studio.
