Maverick County Lake is a beautiful lake in Eagle Pass. The visitors visiting here enjoy the beauty of nature. In the lake, visitors can watch fish and ducks swimming in the lake.
The picnic areas allow local people and tourists alike to come and enjoy a full day picnic. The ice cream parlors are opened near the lake, so that kids and adults alike can enjoy sweet treats in the afternoon. There is a cemented path where visitors can go on a nice leisurely walk or a jog.

Fort Duncan was originally built to be a US Army Base that served as protection for the first US settlement on the Rio Grande.
