Eunice Recreation Complex is a great place to visit for travelers looking for a place to play some sports with their kids. This recreation center offers a variety of sports fields and play areas that are suitable for children ages 4 to 16 years old. Some of the sports you can play here are baseball, softball, T-ball, tennis, soccer, flag football, cheerleading, and basketball.
The center’s sports fields are open and airy and the indoor facilities are large and clean. There are also various events that the center hosts regularly so keep an eye out on the website to keep yourself updated.

The Prairie Acadian Cultural Center is probably the best place where you could get yourself updated on the hot and rich Acadian/Cajun culture. Surely, one of the greatest must-stops in Eunice is the Liberty Theater which is situated right next to the Prairie Acadian Cultural Center. If you’re into the lovely Cajun and Zydeco music, you should totally visit the theater on Saturday when such music shows are performed. Note: if you don’t understand French, that’s hardly a problem since the artists speak in English and French too.

4. Savoy Music Center
Actually, the popular Savoy Music Center was named after the founder of Marc Savoy’s music store for accordions in Eunice, LA. He is a famous American musician who actually plays the trendy and hot Cajun music. Indeed, Marc is a great accordion maker as he builds up to six instruments per month. Presently, he’s got his own international fans and connoisseurs from all over the world. As for his music center, he opened it back in 1965. This Roman Catholic church was built in 1980 and is actually spacious enough to accommodate more than 500 people. Its beautiful stained glass windows running on the side walls depict details from the life of Saint Thomas More - the church’s patron. Much like any other Roman Catholic churches, the sanctuary and the vestibule are richly decorated. Note: If you plan on visiting the church (in the company of kids as well), you can always use the Nursery room in the church so as to enjoy the tranquility of this place in full comfort and stillness.

The museum is quite small, so there are no admission fees whatsoever. Upon entering the museum, you can see a lot of photos, albums, and accordions.
