4. Ferran Park

If you’re in Eustis with your children, Ferran Park is a great place to bring them. The park is located beside a public pool and has incorporated a splash pad, for children to run around and cool off. Ferran Park is right beside Lake Eustis and is a great location to feed birds, turtles, and even squirrels.

5. Sunset Island Park

Sunset Island Park is a family-friendly park, which got its name from the beautiful sunsets that are visible over Lake Eustis. This park is a great place to spend a few hours but it is not equipped with washrooms. This means that the best time to visit this park is towards sunset, so you can see the view, over the lake. The park also features four tennis courts.

Lake Eustis covers approximately 7,000 acres (2,832.8 hectares). On the lake is a boardwalk, where you can view the beauty of the lake, cast a line to fish, as well as take a closer look at gators. If you are in Eustis, you must take the Lake Eustis Walk and see the sunset over the lake.

8. Historic State Theater

The Historic State Theater, in Eustis, used to be a movie house and music hall. This theater now is home to live theatrical performances and hosts musical acts from all over the country. They also have in-house talent, that performs year round. The actors at this theater perform five Broadway shows per year and various off Broadway shows, throughout the year. These very popular shows are almost always nearly sold out and are a must see if you’re a fan of theater.

9. Hidden Waters Preserve Hiking Trail

If you’re looking for a great place to hike, come down to Eustis to the Hidden Waters Preserve Hiking Trail. Eustis has various sinkholes and the local water authority decided to funnel water through these holes, to preserve the area. This beautiful area is equipped with steep hills. If you’re descending to the lake via the Alfred Trail, be aware that this area is extremely steep, but it is a great place if you’re looking for an extreme hiking workout.
