This is arguably Fontana’s star attraction. The mountain towers over the city, beckoning visitors and locals alike to attempt to conquer it. And you won’t be able to resist this challenge. With hiking trails strategically charted, you gain a breathtaking view of the city as you rise higher up. However, the best of these views is at the very peak of Jurupa, to which the hiking trails will lead you.

3. Entertainment at the Center Stage Theater

The Center Stage Theater is a great part of Fontana’s history. Built in 1932 and given a facelift in 2008, the Center Stage Theater has a movie theater and also plays host to numerous live performances. Enjoy the Tibbies Cabaret show while enjoying a tantalizing meal from their menu.

4. Get a thrill at the Auto Club Speedway

Found within the historic Kaiser Steel Mill, this is actually the location of the Xfinity racing event, the Indycar series and the NASCAR Sprint Series Cup. For lovers of the arts, the Steel Workers’ Auditorium is the place to visit. Here, you’ll enjoy a variety of shows from plays to music all showcasing the abundance of talent in Fontana. Performance Tuesdays is one of those shows that you just can’t afford to miss. It’s an open show that is put on by the local community. Still, you can enjoy movie nights, music recitals and dance classes at the auditorium.

This destination in Fontana makes for an exciting day out for the whole family. Found in Filbert Avenue at the heart of the city center, the location is highly accessible. Here, you can enjoy various activities on their vast facilities. You can play basketball on their beautiful courts or hockey in the rink available. There are also various ball fields, all open to visitors. But that’s not all. There is also a tennis court and a skate park. The Jack Bulik Park leaves no one out. And after an enjoyable round of sporting activities, settle down underneath one of their picnic shelters or sit at the picnic tables and enjoy a scrumptious meal from the snack bar. If you prefer, you can have a barbecue at one of their dedicated barbecue areas. Fun and excitement are all that awaits you at this amazing multi-purpose park and rink.

7. Coyote Canyon Park

Fontana has no shortage of beautiful parks to explore. With the fine weather, spending an afternoon or even a whole day at one of these parks is a great way to immerse yourself into Fontana. One of these parks is the Coyote Canyon Park. As one of Fontana’s youngest recreational areas, this destination offers wonderful facilities that can be enjoyed by the whole family. Here, you can enjoy playing baseball or softball with your friends on their wonderful fields. There is also a playground for the kids, a safe space for them to have their fun. You can also take a walk on one of the nature trails and be awed by the beauty of Fontana. Picnic shelters are also available here and you can reserve them at a cost of 50 USD per day or 100 USD if you’re a non-resident.

8. Mary Vagle Nature Center

Sitting at the foot of the Jurupa Hills is this gorgeous nature center. Started to preserve a natural space within the city, the Mary Vagle Nature Center boasts serenity that can only be enjoyed in the midst of nature. The facility provides a nature trail that takes you through a stunning landscape. Along this trail, there’s a pond that is a mark of elegance. Various gardens are also part of this center. These bear different plants and flowers. There are also various plant and animal exhibits that represent the geology of Fontana. This center not only offers a great place to relax in nature’s tranquility but also teaches all who visit about various plant and animal species in the region.

Visit the Fontana Aquatic Center to enjoy some time in the water. This location offers a wide array of activities that will keep you occupied and in a state of excitement. If you simply want to have a swim, their large pool will take you in. If you want more, they also offer aqua aerobics and lap swimming lessons. Meant for the whole family, the Aquatic Center is a great place to have a great workout in water while having lots of fun.
