5. World’s Largest Chest of Drawers
World’s Largest Chest of Drawers represents the area’s strong furniture industry. It was built to call attention to High Point as the Furniture Capital of the World. It is home to a 10.8-meter (36-foot) tall chest of drawers. Two large socks hang from the drawers as a nod to the area’s hosiery industry, and miniature replicas of the chest can be found all throughout the city.

Theatre Art Galleries (TAG) hosts exhibitions of visual art ranging from traditional to experimental.In three spacious galleries, TAG offers many exhibits yearly featuring solo and group shows. High Point Museum offers insights into the history of High Point, the area’s Native Americans, the Quaker settlers, the workers and factories of the furniture business, and much more. The Furniture Heritage exhibit offers a unique perspective on the history of furniture manufacturing in our area.
