The vibrant and diverse community has led to the adoption of rural and metropolitan lifestyles there. Owing to the diverse culture the area has witnessed tremendous growth over the past decade. The numerous adult and kid-friendly activities ensure full enjoyment for the entire family in the Indian Trail area. Indian Trail offers a bevy of can’t-miss things to do; if you are planning to visit, some of the best attractions are as follows.

1. Crooked Creek Park

Posted by Crooked Creek Park on Saturday, 18 March 2017

Crooked Creek Park is the premier tournament complex and the best park in the Charlotte area. The kid’s playground area has a big cabin themed playground with 4 slides, a rope bridge and a tunnel with little critters that the kids can touch and see welded to the playground equipment, a number of climbing logs, and a balance beam. The musical area has some striped instruments with hammers and drums producing funny jungle sounding music. They also have a swing where an adult and their baby can swing together.

The zip line has a bell seat on a rope where the kids can sit, hold the rope and go for a ride. This park has nice baseball and soccer fields, a destination playground, disc golf course, walking trails, several picnic areas, an outdoor exercise gym and a reservable shelter. The complex is great, the only negative point is you need a pass to get into the dog park; you have to pay to use it.

2. Sun Valley 14

Have you been to our newest location next to Sun Valley 14 Theater in Indian Trail yet? Come grab dinner before seeing a movie tonight!

Posted by Moe's Charlotte on Monday, 26 November 2012

This is a clean and multi-screen modern theater with a great concession area. The prices are cheaper than the local Regal owned theaters. The seats are comfortable and lean back, the sound system is great, and there are 3D options. On Tuesdays, all their movies run for one price (6 USD). They also offer specials on popcorn and drinks on Tuesdays.

They also have a great rewards program. You can use them on opening weekend, unlike some other rewards programs. They have a loyalty card too and once you rack up enough purchases, you get a free movie. Having food venues close by make this theater a nice place to go for nightly entertainment.

Wise Acres Organic Strawberry Farm is a family run organic strawberry farm with excellent tasting strawberries. They have created a zone that is fun for kids of all ages while remaining focused on environmentally and socially conscious practices. They have tree swings, a sand box, zip line, hay ride, train ride, playground, snacks, a corn maze and corn pit.

They also have a “train” which is a ride on lawn mower pulling a train of barrel cars. The farm itself is great. Their slushies along with their organic popcorn popped in coconut oil are really good. Among other things, they sell local honey. They also have a few farm animals like some month old baby chickens and a rabbit.

This is a great place to host a party. The staffs are helpful and ensure that your event goes without a hitch. They let you inspect the room in advance to make sure the equipment is working. You can rent a projector for about 100 USD and pick out table cloth colors. Their inside catering service is good and affordable.

The room is connected to the bar/restaurant so your guests can go next door to order alcohol if desired, or you can include that as part of the meal. Right outside the room is an area where you can watch skaters and hockey players down below. You can watch the two rinks from the observation deck upstairs near the party room. For a fun time go on Monday night around 9 pm and watch a cool Broomball game.

6. Trail's Dynasty Miniature Golf

Posted by Trails Dynasty Miniature Golf and Creamery on Monday, 22 May 2017

This is great for doing something different once in a while. The course is nice and there are some challenging holes. After playing a round or two they have a wonderful sitting area to enjoy the Hershey ice cream sold there. The ice cream shop is clean and they have a variety of flavors. They also have other items to purchase as well. The staffs are friendly, and you can even book the place for your birthdays or other events. The mini golf course is small, so it does get congested if a lot of people are playing at once. The place is good for couples or families to enjoy an evening or afternoon out.

Posted by Charlotte National Golf Club on Thursday, 13 January 2011

Charlotte National is an impressive, challenging, and enjoyable round of golf in a natural setting. Their PennLinks bentgrass greens are among the best and most challenging in the Charlotte area. The slope and contours of the greens demand good shot placement to take advantage of the hole’s location.
