Santa Clotilde Gardens is a peaceful getaway, located on top of a hill in the city and it is an outstanding spot, with impressive sea views. This historical natural space, dating back to the turn of the 20th century, is ideal for relaxing the mind and nourishing the spirit. You’ll enjoy strolling its beautiful combination of stairways, fountains, little squares, and mermaid statues, surrounded by the wonderful variety of Mediterranean trees and plants. This is the ideal place for a picnic with family or friends, where you can settle down and enjoy the fresh greenery. This is definitely somewhere you’ll love to go, while you’re in the area!

2. Lloret and Fenals Beaches

These beaches are unmissable if you are in Lloret! Only two steps away from the Santa Clotilde Gardens is Lloret’s beach, where you’ll spend the entire day soaking up the sun and swimming, playing water sports, or even jet skiing in the crystal-clear, blue Mediterranean Sea. Be sure to grab a drink and tapas at one of the many beachfront restaurants and don’t forget your sunscreen, as the Spanish sun gets terrifyingly hot, between 2 and 5 pm!

And, if you’re searching for a less touristy atmosphere, a little walk away from the main beach is the 700-meter (2296 feet) long Fenals Beach, perfect for families and couples who’d like a little more privacy, in a more natural and relaxed place.

3. Costa Brava

4. Iglesia de Sant Romà

This original 15th-century Catalan Gothic building is one of the main sights of the city. The colourfully-decorated church, characterized by its dome roof and unique architecture, is situated in the center of town and is difficult to miss - its amazing Byzantine style architecture will make you stop in your path. Enjoy taking a look inside and check out the beautiful vaulting above, entrance is free! But be mindful of the locals, as it is still actively used as a church.

These parks are two of the finest imaginable: Aquadiver in Platja d’Aro and Water World in Lloret de Mar, will entertain the whole family with its various rides, such as the wave pools, rapid rivers, and the Kamikaze. These are two places you’re not going to forget!

6. Castillo d'en Plaja

Castell d’en Plaja is located right next to Lloret Beach and is a mansion, built by the local industrialist Narcís Plaja, in the 1930s and 40s (although it looks like something out of a fairytale or medieval times). You’ll enjoy taking a walk up to the top of the castle and getting a breathtaking view of the city and the ocean, from above.

7. Camí de Ronda

Formerly a footpath built along the Costa Brava coast to help the Guardia Civil control the coast and stop smuggling (especially in the postwar period, during the civil war), the Camí de Ronda is a series of small footpaths through the cliffs, along the coast of Catalonia. Nowadays, much of the route connects tourist beaches and resorts, where you’ll enjoy having a walk and enjoying the scenery around.
