Catching the sunset or sunrise here can be particularly impressive, as well as the bird’s-eye view that visitors can get from the observation tower. Here, locals and travelers alike come to shop some of the best local products, including fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, and fish, as well as coffee, doughnuts, and pastries. The market is also home to local artists selling their jewelry and handicrafts. There’s also a playground where kids can have fun and a lush green shaded area where visitors can sit down, relax, and savor the market produces.

Animal lovers of all ages will have a blast visiting the Wellington Conservation Center, an exotic animals’ sanctuary that many injured or abandoned animals call home. Here guests can see birds and mammals that are treated, cared for, and ultimately rehabilitated or returned to the wild. Some of the center’s most prominent stars include capybaras, crested porcupines, lemurs, maras, and sloths. Not only exotic animals live here but also farm animals like ferrets, sheep, ducks, and goats, and wild animals like hedgehogs, flemish rabbits, and foxes. On the more colorful side of the spectrum, there are macaws, cockatoos, and parakeets being saved and are living at the center.
