Incorporated in the late 1950s, Woodridge is undeniably a young community. As a young village, with most of the homes, churches, and establishments built after the 1950s, Woodridge has developed attractions around the area to keep that youthful vibe among residents and visitors alike. To add to this, being in the suburbs allows you to be in the embrace of nature, a refreshing feeling the city can’t provide. If you want an escape from the busy city of Chicago during summertime, Woodridge is one of the better choices. Check this list of things to do in Woodridge, Illinois, that both kids and adults can enjoy when visiting the area.
Editor’s note: A devastating tornado hit the village on Father’s Day this year, and caused major uprooting of trees and destruction of countless private properties. Some of the attractions listed here might be undergoing reconstruction and repair. Keeping the town and its people in our prayers, so they’re able to overcome this natural disaster and emerge stronger as a community.
