A multicolored, open 24/7, pleasure city for some, a veritable assault on the senses for others. They say you either love or hate Vegas, but one thing is for certain, it’s a city you really should visit just to find out. Fall in love with the city and you’ll return time and time again.

Whether it’s for the nightlife, the casinos, or just the overall experience of one of the most vibrant and exciting cities in the world, there’s something for everyone here. And for most of us, the Las Vegas experience is confined to Las Vegas Boulevard, the world famous Strip. Here’s our guide to getting the very best from the Strip during your stay in Sin City. Be sure to book a stay in a 2-bedroom hotel or a resort with a view of the Strip!

1. The Vegas Strip itself: A fabulous walk to experience all the sights

Over the years, the Las Vegas Strip has changed beyond recognition. To some it’s a shame, the old Strip used to be dominated by the casinos, with each set in its own grounds, each trying to outdo the rest. Whether that’s the incredible pyramid of The Luxor with its light seen from miles around, the faux-Arthurian Excalibur with its turrets and towers, New York New York’s famous cityscape and roller-coaster, or the more laid back but still spectacular sights of the Venetian, Mirage, Cosmo, MGM Grand, the casinos are still there. But nowadays they’re more hidden. The strip today is dominated by shops, rooftop bars, and eateries.

The must-see casino in Vegas. Surprising for such an iconic place, the Bellagio has only been here since 1999. But it’s still one of the must see places on any Vegas itinerary. Wander up the strip and take your place outside for the beautiful fountain show, every 15 minutes in busy times, every half hour otherwise. To an ever changing soundtrack of modern and old tunes, you’ll see the famous dancing fountain show.
