Pineville, Louisiana is located nearly dead center in the middle of the state. One fun fact about the town is that it actually was home to the original Louisiana State University, which was initially named the Louisiana State Seminary of Learning & Military Academy. Even though the current LSU and all of its grandeur unfortunately doesn’t reside in Pineville anymore, the town still has much to offer to visitors, including museums, nature activities and historic sites.
