2. Stroll through Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens

The Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens are a space where you can come to view exotic and vibrant nature, both native to Florida and elsewhere. The gardens include a multitude of species, including bamboo, cacti and succulents, hibiscus, rose, native trees and many more. The gardens also host a variety of annual events on special holidays or informational classes for anyone to enjoy. 3. Take the kids to the Children's Museum of the Treasure Coast

If you’re visiting Port St. Lucie with the entire family, you’ll want to bring the kids to the Children’s Museum of the Treasure Coast. It can sometimes be hard to find things for kids to do that the entire family can also enjoy, but the children’s museum has enough exhibits and programs to keep everyone entertained. Many of the exhibits are interactive, and also help teach children about different topics, such as automotive, veterinary assistance, and acting. It will be a joy to watch your children learn. The museum’s hours vary throughout the week, but they’re generally open from 10 am to 4 pm. Admission is 8.50 USD and 4.25 USD for children under the age of two.

A River Lilly Cruise can be a romantic date or a fun activity for the whole family. For 21.60 USD per person, the one and a half hour cruise leaves at 11 am and takes 34 pontoon boat passengers cruising down the St. Lucie Aquatic Preserve. The boat ride is a treat in itself, but if you’re lucky you’ll also get to see a wide variety of Floridian nature, which can include otters, birds, alligators and manatees.

5. Take your own cruise at Treasure Coast Boat Rentals

If you’d rather command your own cruise, head to Treasure Coast Boat Rentals. A variety of boats are available for a range of prices, whether you’d like to rent them for a half or full day. 6. See the New York Mets at First Data Field
If you’re a sports enthusiast, that’s just another reason to visit Port St. Lucie. It happens to be the home of the New York Mets spring training, which occurs at the First Data Field. 7. Don't forget the dog at Walton Rocks Beach
One of the best things to do in Port Saint Lucie this weekend is a fun date with your best friend! Any trip won’t be complete if you can’t indulge your furry friend. If your dog happens to be with you, you can’t skip a trip to Walton Rocks Beach. It includes 24 acres (9.7 hectares) of beach for all dogs to run around off the leash. 8. Walk around Hillmoor Lake Park

Florida may be known for its beaches, but Hillmoor Lake Park can’t be ignored if you’re visiting Port St. Lucie. The park is most well-known for its Woodstork Trail, which loops around the scenic lake through a series of boardwalks. 9. See nature and history at Spruce Bluff Preserve
Spruce Bluff Preserve is more than an untouched area of nature - it’s also an untouched area of history. Across two trails and 97 acres (39 hectares), you can view nature as well as the site of an 1891 pioneer settlement and cemetery that sits along the banks of the St. Lucie River. You can also view a historic Native American mound, and discover plants that ancient Floridians used for medicinal purposes.
