A local museum that doesn’t charge an entrace fee (yay!), and consists of 16 cozy rooms with its own unique theme. Some of the historical feature topics in the rooms include the Jail Room, EB Lewis Room, The Rodeo Chedeski Fire and the McNary Room. Open from Wednesday to Saturday each week from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm, kids, for one, will love the Train Room!

Everything you ever wanted to find in a park can be found in Show Low City Park. There are fantastic walking trails, a great playground for the small ones, a basketball court, picnic areas for those quiet moments in the sun, and a fenced area for dogs to be let loose. The place is maintained well. When summer hits, there are events happening at the city park, with some pretty good local food vendors flocking the place too.

A great place to hang out with friends, with a great view of the lake and some great spots for good grilled mean on a BBQ pit. It tends to get hot in summer, so make sure you come prepared to sunbathe and splash around in a kayak. The recreational park comes equipped with shower and bathroom facilities, and is close enough to head back to town in case you forgot an item or two. Go for a leisurely walk in the evening and explore the pine woods and its distinctly clear scent.

The Black Horse Brewery is a pretty new establishment, as it just started its business in 2015. However, the individuals behind them have been brewing for more than 3 decades! This family-owned brewery creates brews which are inspired by ancient German recipes, and are made with the best natural ingredients. Their Tap Room (named Hole in the Wall) has a wholesome vibe and comes with an outdoors patio area and a good old bar. Drop by for a pint anytime you’re in Show Low!

5. Unity of the White Mountains

The must-see place in Show Low, which gives your eyes a view that goes on for miles and miles at its top. Nothing beats the sights of mountains and trees amidst puffy white clouds after all, but this is one level up anything else you’ve actually seen. When you’re done with your scenic selfies, go for a meal at some of the restaurants here. Lotus Garden, a Chinese eatery, is particularly good. Another great option is Peaks Restaurant in Greer.

7. Cattlemen's Steakhouse

A great steakhouse which bakes its own bread, and has probably the best prime ribs in Show Low. A real gem of a food haunt with fantastic service. Food is fairly sized with a decent price tag too. Steaks are cooked to perfection and if you’re feeling like you need extra greens, head over to the salad bar. Give the bacon wrapped filet mignon a go, which is served with a side of mushrooms and a pile of mashed potatoes.
