Other than music and fine arts, you will surprised by their pottery selection. You will find the largest working pottery in the Southeasts region at the Morean Center. Right at the Downtown St. Petersburg, there are many galleries, studios, hip boutiques featuring various individual artists’ work. Purchase artworks from the Creative Clay Arts Centre, take classes or simply walk around, you can spend a day or just one lazy afternoon at the café and restaurants in between the streets with artworks.

5. 5. Egmont Key State Park

Located at the mouth of Tampa Bay, southwest of Fort DeSoto Beach, Egmont Key State Park is a wildlife refuge and offers a beautiful activity ground for swimming, fishing, wildlife viewing, and picnicking. Visit the park also for its historic significance, with the ruin of Fort Dade, a Spanish–American War era fort and Egmont Key Lighthouse, that has stood since 1858. As the park is rather remote, food and water are not available, so be ready with your own supply.
