7. The Perle Oban Hotel and Spa (from USD 117)

The Perle Oban Hotel’s prized feature is its Michelin-awarded restaurant, where guests can have grilled fish and other local seafood with vegetarian and vegan options. Established more than a century ago on Oban’s seafront, this Victorian hotel is an iconic and historic building in Station Square. It is one of the top hotels with entertainment in Scotland. It also features numerous health and beauty facilities.

Suppose you want to travel around Oban, you can visit McCaig’s Tower or Corran Esplanade. You can also go on a castle tour of Gylen Castle on Kerrera Island, Kilchurn Castle in Loch Awe, or Castle Stalker.

Tip from Content Creator

If you're a history buff, you must visit Kilchurn Castle. The castle is about a half-hour drive from the town of Oban (and about 36 minutes from this hotel), but can also be accessed if you're staying in Fort William, though the drive is about an hour and twenty minutes. Kilchurn Castle was one of my favorite Scottish castles. Although mostly in ruins, the medieval castle has an eerily beautiful air about it. Plus, you may even meet some adorable sheep there! Do note that it’s currently being renovated, so you probably won't be able to tour the actual ruins, and there’s a fence around it (which makes taking photos a little less ideal), but it’s still totally worth the visit. If you do decide to visit, don't follow Google Maps suggestions. Instead, go to Kilchurn Castle Viewpoint off of the A819 for stunning views of the castle across the lake.
