The Buttermere lake is beside Buttermere village and Crummock Water. The lake has some beautiful places of interest nearby. In the nearby Buttermere village, you’ll find St James Buttermere church at the intersection of Honister and Newlands passes. Head to the south window, where you’ll find a plaque dedicated to Alfred Wainwright. He is known as a writer of guidebooks and loved to walk in the mountainous Haystacks area. It’s possible to walk from the church to Haystacks. It’ll take you about an hour, but the route is scenic as you’ll be going around the edge of Lake Buttermere and through green pastures. The only sounds you’ll hear will be from the surrounding farms and native wildlife. To enjoy more of this tranquil ambience, keep reading and book a stay at one of these best yurts near Buttermere, UK.

We handpicked these listings carefully, considering (wherever possible) Superhost status, recent guest reviews, location, accommodation type, prices, availability of dates, decor, and amenities.
