This remote village in western Northumberland, England, was an early settlement around Kielder Castle, which is a hunting lodge. It was built by the Duke of Northumberland in 1775 and now serves as a hub for a growing number of recreational activities. Kielder’s economy has relied heavily on forestry but now incorporates tourism as well. Timber production is an integral part of the operation, but the aim has shifted to wildlife conservation. Kielder Water & Forest Park is the destination’s biggest tourist attraction, which is home to England’s largest forest and artificial lake in Northern Europe. The village is a haven for wildlife, the best night skies, and award-winning art and architecture. For hunting and trails, Bakethin Nature Reserve and Kielder Salmon Centre are great spots. While here, listen to the call of nature and stay in one of the best cabin rentals near Kielder, UK.

We handpicked these listings carefully, considering (wherever possible) Superhost status, recent guest reviews, location, accommodation type, prices, availability of dates, decor, and amenities. The image galleries get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. They were last updated on April 12, 2024.

The balcony has a private hot tub overlooking gorgeous views, along with adequate seating. The lodge is equipped with a modern kitchen, a wine fridge, a breakfast bar, and a main dining table. There’s even a washing machine and plenty of space for storing clothes.
