Located on the Bellarine Peninsula of Victoria, Australia, Queenscliff is located south of Swan Bay. The town lies at the entrance to Port Phillip and offers several historic attractions. One is the Bellarina Railway – Queenscliff Station, which is a volunteer-operated, tourist steam-driven railway running on a 16-km (10-mi) stretch of formerly disused line. The steam train takes visitors from Queenscliff to Drysdale, close to the city of Geelong. Fort Queenscliff Museum offers a number of historic exhibits laid out in an old fortress. Located on the Bellarine Peninsula on the road to Queenscliff, Piknik is a popular converted roadhouse cafe with rustic wooden tables, a fireplace and a pop-up cellar door serving wines at the weekend. Food consists of seasonal, local produce, which means that the menu is also seasonal and changes all the time. Breakfast and brunch include free-range eggs, gluten-free French crepes with a variety of fillings, as well as ice cream and bruschetta, with house-made fig jam, bacon and blue cheese. Visitors can buy house-made jams to take home.
