This Kitsilano restaurant is owned by Michael Robbins and is named after his two grandmothers, Anna and Lena. Everything about the restaurant points to his past, including the bar with its Tetris motif and Lego sculptures, which recall the toys he took to his grandmothers’ homes. The unique menu is based on modern Canadian rood but is mixed with hints of China, Singapore, and the Philippines, where his neighbors came from, but also tends to lean towards Mediterranean-style food while the bar serves craft cocktails.
