La Pointe du Grouin is an affordable Breton wine bar which is set between the owner’s two other restaurants, Chez Casimir and Chez Michel. The system is different from most. On entering the wine bar, you go up to the bar and tell them how hungry you are. You then wait while small plates of food roll out, including braised oxtail or breaded pig snout, as well as delicious desserts. There are also delicious sandwiches on home-made bread with tasty ingredients like smoked salmon. The wine comes from boxes and by the magnum, but this doesn’t mean it is bad. While dinner costs from 20 to 40 USD, lunch can be enjoyed here at prices ranging from 10 to 20 USD.
