The complex includes a variety of different stores, as well as a sports and music area. The rooftop of the center offers panoramic views over Barcelona. The L'illa Diagonal complex offers more than 170 shops and restaurants, but it also offers much more. There are two four-star hotels in the complex as well as a sports center, two schools, a concert platform, a disco and a car parking facility. The design of the building was inspired by the Rockefeller Center in New York City. Diagonal Mar is a sprawling shopping center and it is one of the largest in the region. The center is conveniently located at the start of Avinguda Diagonal. There is a range of stores including leisure, fashion, catering, homeware and other items. The complex also has an outdoor dining and leisure space named “La Terrassa del Mar” – or the Terrace of the Sea – offering all types of dining options.
