You are apparently too young if you haven’t heard the narratives of the drive-in theaters from your elders. Probably, your grandparents had that momentous experience of watching cinema from inside their cars. But as we all are aware, the scene of outdoor cinema has already died in most parts of this country. Just a handful of venues are left today, and not many people know their locations. Thus, we are taking an initiative to bring out the blast from the past to you, at least, if you are living within or near the state of New Hampshire. Plan a hangout this weekend, like the generations past used to have, and bring blankets along. We are sharing an index of the best drive-in theaters in New Hampshire. Stay on the page, and note the addresses.
1. Weirs Drive-In Theatre

We are starting our list with a very special drive-in theatre and a tourist attraction of the New Hampshire region. Laconia has a really small population of residents in this state, and Weirs Drive-In Theatre is the 70-year-old heritage structure of this city. It’s a cozy vacation town and there aren’t many interesting things to do here. Thanks to four screens at this outside theatre, people can get a glimpse into the past with the first-run releases. Weirs Drive-In Theatre is a seasonal venue and opens only after the end of winter.

Northfield Drive-In Theatre is another vintage drive-in that has been serving movie lovers since the year 1948. Being situated halfway in New Hampshire and remaining in Northern Massachusetts, this is perhaps a one-of-a-kind movie venue in the world. It is a single screen, however, they are maintaining the original mega screen size. Furthermore, the car park capacity easily exceeds 500. Northfield Drive-In Theatre runs new and retro movies every weekend in season.

3. Milford Drive-In Theater
Milford is the last remaining drive-in theatre of the southern New Hampshire. Being opened 60+ years back as a single screen, they added another screen in the late 80s. This multi-screen drive-in cinema features a family area, concession stand, and restrooms. Just the latest movies are played here in high-quality projection with Dolby digital sound. Since they charge for a car that could carry up to six people, the pricing seems pretty reasonable. Furthermore, they accept all major credit and debit cards. Milford Drive-In Theatre stays open from March to October/November and runs only on weekends.

4. The Saco Drive-In, Saco
Although this outdoor movie venue isn’t exactly located within the borders of New Hampshire, we can still include its name to this index as it’s very close to the boundary. The Saco Drive-In Theatre is located in Saco City in the neighboring state of Maine at approximately a one hour’s drive from Portsmouth. It’s one of the oldest functional drive-ins of the world since its story goes back to the 1930s. Watching movies at this old-fashioned cinema venue is more affordable than all the options that we have looked at so far, and they serve good fast food. The Saco Drive-In is scheduled to run between May and October.

5. Prides Corner Drive-In, Westbrook
Editor's Note: There's no photo available at the time of writing
Only a few miles ahead from our prior cinema venue in Saco, this amazing drive-in theater is located in Portland. Now we do see that we’re again suggesting a spot outside of New Hampshire, but checking out these two locations would be very rewarding to you. Speaking just for this theater alone, you get double or even triple the features for the price of one carload, which is yet again, pretty inexpensive as compared to other outdoor movie venues. This vintage drive-in has recently upgraded to digital projection. They have a single screen, but the parking space is massive.
