German Historical Museum
During your stay at this hotel, take a five-minute drive to visit the German Historical Museum (Deutsches Historisches Museum/DHM). The grand building, designed by architect I.M.Pei, celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2023. It's still one of my favorites! It's best to visit in the afternoon or evening as there is less crowd in the streets.

Internationales Congress Centrum (ICC) Berlin Internationales Congress Centrum (ICC) Berlin Internationales Congress Centrum (ICC) Berlin Messe Berlin underpass

As you'll be staying close to the Messe Berlin exhibition grounds, take a few minutes to appreciate the dark but beautiful art in the famous underpass of Messe Berlin. You should also check out the sci-fi aesthetics of the neighboring Internationales Congress Centrum (ICC) Berlin. The huge building was designed by architects Ralf Schüler and Ursulina Witte-Schüler and was completed in 1979. It's said to have been the 'answer' to East Berlin's Palast der Republik. But the design became a wonderful monument to the way the future was perceived at the time. If, like me, you loved the golden age of science fiction, you will certainly like this building. Just don't touch the asbestos walls!
