BaanPayai Resort is in Pak Chong, a district of the Thai province of Nakhon Ratchasima. Also known as Khorat, Nakhon Ratchasima is in the Isan region of the country. It is Thailand’s largest province. Known for its abundance of natural treasures, interesting towns and cities, and places of historical interest, Pak Chong provides easy access to several of the province’s excellent attractions. And BaanPayai Resort is a comfortable base from which to explore the area and have lots of great adventures!

Despite the name, BaanPayai Resort isn’t really what you would probably expect from a resort. More like a hotel it is, nonetheless, a great place to stay. Just don’t expect any extra trimmings that are common in a resort! Indeed, the establishment markets itself as a hotel.

Comfortable, attractive, and spacious guest rooms

BaanPayai Resort has 80 rooms spread over five floors. There is a lift in the building. All rooms are en suite and can accommodate two people, with a choice of two single beds or one double bed. Rooms cost between 800 THB (approximately 22.50 USD) and 1,000 THB (approximately 28 USD) per night.

Pristine white walls and fresh pure white bed linen are in perfect balance with the highly-polished dark wood furnishings, creating a sleek and sophisticated appearance. The rooms and bathrooms are so clean that they shine!

Beds have firm mattresses, but not so firm as to be uncomfortable, and you’ll probably fall fast asleep not long after your head touches the soft plump pillows.

In addition to the bed(s), rooms have a large wardrobe, a desk, satellite TV, and a refrigerator with complimentary bottled water. A large mirror hangs over the desk / dresser, right next to the window. This is ideal if (like me!) you like lots of light when applying your make-up in the mornings!

There is also a coffee table with two chairs positioned next to the large window. It’s a lovely spot to just sit and chill out whilst gazing out of the window and lost in your thoughts.

Rooms have remote-controlled air-conditioning, so there’s no need to feel uncomfortable temperature-wise when in your peaceful room.

Beautiful green views from the large windows

Even though one side of the hotel faces the main road, which is, incidentally, far away enough that the sounds of passing traffic don’t interrupt your rest, the area is surrounded by hills, mountains, forests, and greenery.

All rooms have big windows that take up nearly an entire wall. You can soak up the pretty views without even leaving your room. Don’t worry about being woken up by light flooding in at daybreak though – thick curtains ensure that your room remains dark until you swish them back to enjoy the views and let the light in.

Diverse activities in the nearby area

Thongsomboon Club is just a few minutes’ drive from BaanPayai Resort. A great attraction for people of all ages, it features an array of exciting activities in a natural setting. Split into two main sections at the top and bottom of a hill, a quaint sightseeing train connects the two parts of the park. Have fun with things like go-karting, buggy rides, and a log flume, feel your heart racing on the flying fox zip wire and dry toboggan run, and soak up the country and western vibe.

Chokchai Farm is another local attraction within just a few minutes of BaanPayai Resort. If you’ve ever wanted to learn more about dairy farming, this is the place to come!

The main entrance to the popular Khao Yai National Park is around a 20-minute drive away from BaanPayai Resort. Explore the picturesque national park, admire spectacular waterfalls like Haew Suwat, and spot lots of wildlife, including birds, monkeys, and deer.

Other attractions close to hand include several vineyards and wineries, Khao Yai Art Museum, the family-friendly Bonanza Exotic Zoo, serene temples such as Wat Thep Phithak Punnaram Temple with its many steps, and Keaw Sara Pad Neuk Cave. If you love shopping, pay a visit to Premium Outlet Khao Yai, and pick up some of the latest fashions from numerous brands.

Other reasons to choose BaanPayai Resort

Free Wi-Fi internet is available throughout the building, and guests can help themselves to free coffee in the reception area. You can stock up on drinks, snacks, and any forgotten toiletries in the small onsite store.

The property has a large car park in front of the main entrance. It is unlikely that you would choose this accommodation without having your own form of transportation; not only is the resort not really on the typical tourist trail, but a vehicle would be almost essential for getting around the main attractions in the vicinity.

Sleep well in peaceful and elegant surroundings, and within easy reach of many cool attractions, when you stay at BaanPayai Resort. Book your stay without delay!
