The farm-to-table movement is becoming more mainstream with growing environmental concerns. Across the world, several restaurants are turning hyper-local as they look for ways to reduce their eco-footprint and support local farmers. They have redefined the dining experience by creating flexible menus that use seasonally available farm-fresh, sustainable produce and meat. For diners, this often translates to fresh flavours and intriguing dishes created by the chefs using seasonal produce. Dallas may be more popular for its Tex-Mex cuisine, but nonetheless, there are a number of restaurants that have adopted the farm-to-fork philosophy. Here is a handpicked list of some of the best farm-to-table restaurants in Dallas, each offering a unique menu and experience.

Dining with a conscience

Given the restrictions under which farm-to-plate restaurants work, it is but natural that they are a little more expensive than the usual ones. But surely that is a small price to pay for the incredible quality of the food and of course for supporting local farmers and a more sustainable lifestyle.
