1. Russet

Posted by Russet on Friday, 5 August 2016

Andrew and Kristin, the owners and chefs at Russet, came a long way to open this restaurant in Philly. Their love for the kitchen and the premium quality local ingredients is evident in their plates, that are mainly European with an American twist. The service is excellent, the staff is always smiling and this smile passes on to the clients. Italian and French dishes dominate the menu, and plates like pappardelle with guinea hen, shaved brussels sprouts and chestnuts or the grilled arctic char are really popular among the locals. You just need to hurry, cause the restaurant is closing on June 30th!

Baology is an Asian restaurant that focuses on fresh and local ingredients, serving mostly Taiwanese cuisine, with a modern Philly twist. Most of the plates could be easily served in a fast food restaurant, but here in Baology, all the dishes create a delicious and complete gastronomic experience. Ethos is the central word for Jun’s (the owner and chef) mentality, and it is quite clear in her communication with both the suppliers of the top-notch ingredients and with the customers visiting the restaurant. Gwa Baos are to-die-for and popular among frequent customers!
