Cincinnati, Ohio, the home base of America’s oldest baseball team, is also where the largest Oktoberfest is held every year. Famous film producer Steven Spielberg must be proud of his hometown for it is America’s 29th-largest city and the biggest metropolitan area in Ohio state. This culture-rich economic hub in the Midwest metropolitan area was once settled by Europeans (mostly Germans) and their influence is visible in the town’s multi-faceted architecture and lifestyle. Cincy, or the Queen City as locals would call it, is a town of underground tunnels (where the Germans kept their beer) and 100 murals. Cincinnati chili and goetta are signature dishes that you must try when dining in one of their many restaurants. Here, you’ll find the world’s 167-year-old public market. 5. The City Flea at Washington Park

Once a day every month, Washington Park becomes a venue of one of the oldest and biggest flea markets in Ohio. The City Flee began in 2011 as a small market where the local traders and hobbyists sold their vintage items and artisan food to the local community. Currently in its 9th season, the market has 400 vendors and 1000 shoppers under its tents. The concept is such a success that the original founders, a Cincinnati couple, take the market to other cities on the other days of the year. In Washington Park, however, shoppers get to enjoy shopping in the fresh outdoors on the park grounds with an awesome view of the iconic Music Hall.
