It was established in 1940 originally as a “Dauterive Hatchery”. It is a climate-controlled facility with more than 4,000 square feet (371.61 square meters) of space that houses a one-of-a-kind multiple-vendor flea market. It is also called the Bayou Town Flea Market where they specialize in selling antiques, tabletop arrangements, vintage furniture, Christmas decor, gifts, pottery, and other pre-loved items. Due to the pandemic, the business suffered and had to finally close in February 2020.
