Located in North East England, County Durham is known for its breathtaking views of the countryside, giving off cinematic Old English drama vibes set in the modern world. The famous Norman Cathedral is set here, as well as an 11th-century castle. The temperatures aren’t that extreme when it comes to Durham’s seasons. Summers here are typically warm and don’t get too hot. On the other hand, winters here are not too cold. With its idyllic countryside, Durham is a splendid place without the static noise of the city, and what better way to experience the scenery and serenity than to go glamping out here? Read on for the best glamping spots in County Durham, UK.

We handpicked these listings carefully, considering (wherever possible) host status, recent guest reviews, prices, availability of dates, decor, and a location that facilitates glamping or is close to glamping spots. 1. Charming shanty with a full kitchen in Ingleton (from USD 128)

Surrounded by fields, “Shepherd’s Hut” is a charming space to stay. However, if you get hay fever (allergic rhinitis) easily, this isn’t the best place for you. The rental is suitable for two guests and is fitted with one bedroom that has velvety burgundy curtains, which contrast with the light-colored wooden walls.

Out on the porch are a bench and two seats where you can relax and catch splendid views of the countryside. The hut has full central heating, a fully equipped kitchen, a log-burning stove, and a sofa where you can curl up while reading books from the mini library.
