Sugar Mama’s Bakeshop, an Austin institution, serves up delicious baked goods daily and even has some of its recipes published in a Williams-Sonoma cookbook. The bakery offers a daily menu instead of a set menu, keeping its customers on their feet as to what to expect daily. Although, a traditional bakery, Sugar Mama’s produces gluten-free items as well. Some of those items include the Cowboy cupcake, a vegan chocolate cake with a filling of whipped peanut butter cream and frosted with chocolate and a peanut butter glaze. Stop in and try one of their yummy cupcakes, such as the Hemingway consisting of a vegan key lime sponge cake finished off with key lime frosting and coconut, just like being in Key West.
