This family-run​ restaurant was opened in 1996 by Mennato Mastrocinque and his father Giovanni. The restaurant serves authentic Italian cuisine in Edinburgh. There is a vast a la carte menu with a wide range of popular Italian dishes for lunch and dinner and also a kids’ menu. A special Pre-Theatre menu is served prior to each performance at the nearby Edinburgh Playhouse. Lunch and bistro menus are also available and healthy gluten-free dishes are available to order. Brunch includes options like sandwiches, gluten-free pancakes, wraps, and salads, or you can enjoy Italian roast coffee and pastries. However, brunch closes are 4 pm, while menus are swapped over to supper from 6 pm onwards. Supper is served from Tuesday to Saturday and includes a choice of sharing plates and small bites. Wines, cocktails, and craft beers are also on offer.
