Mumbai is where Indians go to make their dreams come true. Once known as Bombay, Mumbai is the biggest city in India and is where the famous movie industry, Bollywood is based. This is where visitors get to see the different life status of locals as rich and poor come together here. Elephanta Caves is listed under the UNESCO World Heritage Site with its assemblage of cave temples most of which are centered on Shiva, the Hindu God. The Gateway of India, Mumbai, is a landmark that once honored the visit of Emperor George V and Empress Mary. Mumbai has more heritage sites and some of them come in the form of hotels where you can book a room while you take in the sites. Here are some of the best heritage hotels in Mumbai, India, that you can check-out for your next visit.

We handpicked these listings carefully, considering (wherever possible) the property's historical and cultural significance, recent guest reviews, location, accommodation type, prices, availability of dates, decor, and amenities. When it opened its doors in 1903, the Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai, became the first landmark building by the harbor. Good Tip

Flora Fountain, named so for the statue of the Roman goddess Flora adorning its precipice, is a beautiful structure harking back to Mumbai's colonial past. Built out of Portland stone, the fountain is situated at the edge of a busy junction, a short walk away from Churchgate Station.

The fountain is surrounded by shabby second-hand bookshops where you can get unique volumes for cheap. I personally love these stores!
