The trail is rated as moderate and is also pet-friendly. Note that those hiking with dogs need to keep their dogs on leash. 2. Seine River Greenway’s Trail

Situated adjacent to Winnipeg, Seine River Greenway’s Trail is easy to follow. If you have never hiked before, do not worry because this hiking trail invites hikers of all skill levels. 3. Amisk Self-guiding Trail

Nestled in Whiteshell Provincial Park, Amisk Self-guiding Trail has a moderate level of difficulty with plenty of ups and downs along with steeper paths. Every now and then, you are required to climb up the large rocks. The climb, however, is rather a short one. If you are looking for a more peaceful hiking experience, choose this trail as it is not as popular as the other hiking trails. 4. Mantario Trail - South Trailhead

Set in the eastern part of Manitoba with Ontario on its border, Mantario Trail - South Trailhead is a go-to hiking trail for every experienced hiker, mountain biker and skier throughout the year. The popular hiking trail has a distance of 63 kilometers (39 miles). If you prefer to take it slow with breaks during the hike, it may take about three to four days to complete the whole trip. But, if you want to tackle it fast, it takes approximately 25 hours without any breaks in between. 5. Assiniboine Forest

The forest within the city offers an easy-to-hike trail and lets you delve into a peaceful atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of the city, despite its unique location. As you start hiking, you can see plenty of birds and lush vegetation, including some rare plants. A herd of white-tailed deer may greet you along the way, if you are fortunate. There is a tranquil river if you follow to the end of the trail.

8. Hunt Lake Hiking Trail

Hiking Hunt Lake Hiking Trail is going to be challenging as you have to climb rocks of various sizes, jump through mud and not to mention, traverse rather steep paths. Elevation changes are also expected. Best used between May and October, the hiking trail spans 12.6 kilometers (7.8 miles) out and back.
