Keep reading! Holiday Inn Auckland Airport is not your average airport Holiday Inn. As you walk into the hotel, you will be greeted by a 2 x 10 foot aquarium that will keep you mesmerized while the hotel’s friendly staff checks you in. With an inviting pool, two restaurants on site, and room service all at your demand, there’s no reason to leave the hotel.

Rooms with all the amenities

Holiday Inn Auckland Airport

Each room comes with a king-size bed, high-speed internet access, a flat-screen TV with local channels and in-room movies, and a work space with a large desk. Stay in and order a movie for 12.00 NZD (8.09 USD) or enjoy some room service from their extensive menu. The room is also equipped with a coffee-maker, a small refrigerator, and a microwave, so you can store some goods and eat breakfast at your leisure. Each room also has a small patio with chairs where you can sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. Starting at 212.00 NZD (142.98 USD) a night for a standard room with a king-size bed and up to 306.00 NZD (206.38 USD) for a suite with spa (during the week), you can decide whether to stay in a basic room or upgrade to a suite.

Take a dip in the pool

Holiday Inn Auckland Airport

The pool in the center of the resort is one not to miss! Relax in one of the many lounge chairs after you take a dip in the blue water to cool off. Away from the street view, you won’t hear traffic or remember that you are in a business park next to the airport, but instead be transported away with the feeling of being at a resort by the beach.

Have a night cap at Halo Bar

Holiday Inn Auckland Airport

Halo Bar opens nightly at 4:00 PM and offers favorite bar bites from hummus to calamari for 5.00 – 11.00 AUD (3.37 – 7.42 USD). They also serve sandwiches, burgers, and pizzas all for less than 25.00 AUD (16.86 USD) a plate. Besides the food, Halo is a full bar specializing in cocktails. Order a mojito or margarita and watch the bartender make it from scratch, or enjoy a martini or glass of local Australian wine with your meal. Are you a sports fan? Come down and grab a beer while watching the game on one of the three large-screen TVs. There’s always a game of cricket or football showing on one of the screens.

Grab a shuttle to the airport right at the front door

Holiday Inn Auckland Airport is only 3 kilometers (1.9 miles) from the airport and is the second-to-last stop on the shuttle route, which means you’ll be at the airport in 2 stops or 20 minutes. The shuttle only costs 6.00 NZD (4.05 USD) and runs every 30 minutes on the hour and half hour. Need to know how much your luggage weighs? Right at the door there is a scale for you to check, so there are no surprises when you get to the airport. Holiday Inn Auckland Airport should be your only choice, especially if you have an early-morning flight.
