Centtro is located along one of the busiest areas in Los Baños, Lopez Avenue. Its proximity to the UPLB Campus means that you can easily have a relaxed day strolling along Freedom Park, and maybe snap a few photos with the Carillon Tower or DL Umali Hall as your backdrop. Since you're close to the university, don't miss out on the local fresh and chocolate milk sold at DTRI (or Dairy Training and Research Institute). If you happen to stay here on the weekends, I highly suggest getting a cold brew from Likha, a slow bar pop-up shop in the parking lot of Vega Arcade, just in front of Watson's and Cafelandia. It's usually open from 7:30am to 11am on Saturdays and Sundays. The guy who owns it (and his mom!) is really friendly.

Trace Suites is on a college campus close to the downtown area of Los Baños. If you're staying here, one of my favorite places to eat nearby is Spice Jar, a Tex-Mex restaurant. I am obsessed with their cheesy quesadilla and their cilantro dip! The beef birria taco is a bit pricey but is definitely worth a try. Another one that I highly recommend is their beef and bean burrito; beware, though, the serving is huge, so come hungry! The hotel is close to Robinson's Town Mall; I frequent the food court there and I always get the mini cuapao from Hen Lin. I'm not sure if Doner Durum is local to Los Baños (I swear, I've never seen it anywhere else! If it is local to my hometown, then that's kind of awesome), but their shawarma wrap and shawarma rice are a must-try!

DMS Apartelle is inside Umali Subdivision, which I frequent almost every weekend because of the community market. If you happen to stay here on a Sunday, make sure you visit the Sunday market in the parking lot of Meister's Uncorked. It's a bunch of local vendors, and some of my favorites are Drip Kofi (their hazelnut latte is really good!) and Liwayway (they're known for their country-style bread). This property is close to Raymundo Gate, where you'll find lots of UPLB students in their element. Some of the most budget-friendly eats in the area are Aling Dhel's Proven (everything is so good here, my favorites are calamares and bulaklak!) and Super Siomai. Another treat that I sometimes indulge in is whatever savory croissant is offered by Wildbreads on my weekend visit.

If you're coming from Santa Cruz and staying here, you can take any Cubao- or LRT Buendia-bound bus and ask to alight at Real, Calamba. The fare is about Php 50 and you can hop off right in front of the hotel. There are jeepneys going to Calamba, but they all stop at SM Calamba or the Crossing terminal, and you'd have to take another jeep to reach the hotel, so taking the bus is the better option. Alternatively, if you have your own car and would like to avoid the Calamba traffic, you can take the bypass road in Bucal (right after the train tracks when you pass Pansol) and reach the hotel via Turbina.
