During your stay here, take a 45-minute drive to the famed city of Athens. You can explore its main parts in just a day, and we saved money by buying a city pass ticket to all the historical sites. Athens is also a haven for foodies on a budget. We had one blowout meal but otherwise didn’t spend more than 15–25 EUR (16.31–27.19 USD) per person on food and drinks!!
If you want to visit the Acropolis, go early. It opens at 8am, and we arrived at 8:15am. It wasn’t empty, but it was manageable. By 9:15am, it was swarming!
