If you have ever been to Greenville in South Carolina, you will already know its charm and culture. Located in the Appalachian foothills between Atlanta and Charlotte, this unique city is one of the most welcoming that we’ve ever been to. There is a strong underground culture with lots of independent boutiques, unique cafes and art galleries. During the summer months, you’ll see lots of local events taking place in the large open space garden areas. Falls Park on the Reedy is an absolute must-see for nature lovers. From here, you can stand on a bridge and gaze at the waterfalls. After all of that exploring, you’ll be searching for a hearty meal. Greenville has a strong Indian community, which means, a trip to this city would be incomplete without trying the Indian food. Here’s our pick of the best Indian restaurants in Greenville, South Carolina, that serve the most tempting Indian dishes.

4. Handi Indian Cuisine

Lamb Tikka Masala

Posted by Handi Indian Cuisine on Sunday, 1 December 2019

You can always tell a good restaurant by whether or not there is a line out front. Well, on a Friday or Saturday you can bet that there is a line outside this popular downtown restaurant. This place is also vegetarian-friendly. We’d recommend going there on a quieter weekday so that you can have ample time to enjoy your meal properly. They also try to cater to people with different spice tolerances, so be prepared to answer the question of how hot you want your meal on a scale of 1 - 10.

5. Swad Restaurant

Posted by Swad Restaurant & Store on Wednesday, 5 September 2012

This is the only 100% vegetarian Indian restaurant in Greenville. The restaurant itself is very small and cozy. It is located in a mall area, but don’t let that put you off because the food is absolutely amazing. The spot is family owned and you can tell the authenticity in the meals. The owners are very attentive and will help you choose a dish that is suitable for your dietary needs. We’d recommend trying the Thali.
