11. Dakshin

Had dinner at Dakshin Indian Restaurant. Very good food and service. Then, I had to splurge on a fresh and hot Krispy Kreme donut. :-)

Posted by Christopher D. Trombatore on Thursday, 3 November 2011

The Hindi word dakshin means “south” (compass direction), and that’s exactly the cuisine that Dakshin reflects—the freshness and brilliance of the South Indian cuisine. Although, the menu has a selection of North Indian and Indian-style Chinese fare as well. And while the restaurant’s atmosphere may appear completely haphazard (or downright off-putting sometimes!), give it a fair chance, and the appetizing aromas preceding Dakshin’s banging dishes will leave you thoroughly (and pleasantly) surprised! The crunchy masala fried catfish here is simply fantastic, so do remember to try it.
