One of Indonesia's biggest indoor theme parks
Trans Studio Bandung is one of Indonesia’s biggest indoor theme parks (the biggest in Java island). This theme park covers an area of 4.2 acres and in total, it has 20 rides and attractions, which you can enjoy with only 170,000 IDR (12 USD) on Monday to Friday. However, if you visit during the weekends and holidays, you have to pay 270,000 IDR ( 19 USD) for each ticket, which applies to all above the age of two years old.
Weekend shows in Trans City Theater
One of the indoor theme park’s features is drama performances held in the park’s theater, Trans City Theater (next to the park’s Statue of Liberty). There are several theatrical shows and one of the shows is The Mermaid. See how the Witch, who intends to marry the Prince, kidnaps the Mermaid (the Prince’s sweetheart) and turns her into a human and how the Prince eventually saved her after a fierce battle between the Witch and the Prince. To see the show, visit during the weekends, as shows are only held on weekends (twice a day, at 11 am and 4pm).
Yamaha Racing Coaster
The roller coaster with the newest technology is here! Among all of the rides, there is one which will give you an ultimate impression and experience. That is the Yamaha Racing Coaster! The 275-meter-long jet coaster in Trans Studio Bandung is using the newest technology called LIM (Linear Induction Motor) and this technology can make the ride run as fast as 120 kmph in just 4 seconds from the height of 50 meters and fantastically, the coaster can go backwards at the same speed! The mall adjacent to the fun park
The next good thing about Trans Studio Bandung besides the cool rides and attractions is the mall that is interconnected with the theme park. The mall is located right next to the theme park and you can go to the mall’s ground floor from the park (somewhere near the park’s exit). If you don’t want to end your day yet, go to TSM XXI cinema that is on the third floor of the mall for a movie. Isn’t it a good way to spend the rest of the evening before going back to your hotel?
Trans Studio Bandung: A place you don’t want to miss
Prior to your visit, please note that you are not permitted to bring any food or drinks. Trans Studio Bandung provides many food stands and restaurants, like Studio Mie (sells variety of noodles) and Corvette Diner (for American food lovers). If you like noodles, try the fried chicken noodles at Studio Mie. For 1.50 USD, you will get a very large portion of fried noodles that is enough for two adults or three children!
So if you decide to go to Bandung, be sure to visit Trans Studio Bandung. An indoor theme park is a rare thing in Indonesia and this is the biggest on the island of Java, so don’t miss this must visit attraction during your stay in the city.
